Approximately 9 1/4" tall - dark amber Amber , TRADE MARK U.S.A. pictorial angel (all in circle slug plate existed 1887 - 1933. It was formed form 3 major breweries of indianapolis, by an "English syndicate" in 1887 and they opereated from their own plants as listed below:
  • P. Lieber Brewing Company City Brewery ~1863 - 1887; said to have ceased operations about 1886
  • C. F. Schmidt Brewing Company 1850 - 1887 ; said to have ceased operations on May 27, 1920
  • Casper Maus Brewery 1868 /1870 - 1887; ceased operations when converted into a distillery in early 1900
Peter Lieber was the president of the new company for it's first year, retiring in 1888. Peter Lieber's son was the first managing director and took over as president.
