LAWSON

The LAWSONs were of the migration of '36. It is recorded that Noah S. and GEORGE C. LAWSON both came to Union Township before 1840. NOAH and NANCY (THOMPSON) LAWSON were natives respectively of Kentucky and Rush County, Indiana. Both died in early life, leaving two children, a son and a daughter:
    Charles A.
    Marietta, who in 1860 became the wife of JOHN W. LELAND.


Marietta was born in Union Township, May 3, 1843. She was about two years of age when her parents died.


Noah Lawson followed the carpenter's trade. His political affiliations were with the Whigs.
