Frank Lamson Buys the Ross House at Plymoth
Frank Lamson, proprietor of the Hiddens Inn
(Palmer House) has pruchased
the Rosss hHouse at Plymouth and tool possession last Thursday.
Frank ran the Ross House at different times before purchasing the Hidden Inn and is
ans old hand at the business.
Mrs. Lamson, with the assistance of Harvey Steele, will run the Ross House while Mr.

Sale of Ross House
Frank D. Lamson has sold the Boss {Ross} House, whouse in Plymouth to O. C.
Himebaugh of Goshen who has also been in the hotel business in Knox.
Mr. Lamson went to the Ross Hous in 1877 as [prter, and has been the owner of
the place for the past 35 years. It has been built up and improved in many ways,
and is first class as a stopping place for the traveling public.
Mr. Lamson will devote his time to caring for his large farm just east of the city,
adjoining the limits.
He may, however, conclude to accet an offer given him by a local organization, and
by digging and climbing in a new capacity, again be one of the prime factors in
Plymouth's business life.
He is still young though he pretends to be old, and anything may be looked for

Former Owner of Palmer House Dies Suddenly
Frank D. Lamson, trustee of Center township and candidate for re-nomination, died suddenly ty
his home on East Jefferson street at 11:30 o'clock Sunday night after takign sick a short time
previous.
He had suffered from heart trouble and had not been feeling will for the past few days, although
he was at his office Satruday.
Mr. Lamson was bout 72 years old and had spent his entire life in Marshall county, in either
Plymouth or Culver.
For many years he conducted the Palmer House at Culver and for a long time owned and
operated the Ross House in Plymouth.
He was a member of the Plymouth city council during the Holtzendorff administration, one of
the two democratic councilmen lected to office at that time.
Surviving are two children: Mrs. Julia cole of Newcastle, Pa. and Harry Lamson, of Kansas city.
Mrs Cole was to arrive here this evening to make arrangements for the funeral. - 1930, Feb 12

1930 - Feb. 13 - Frank D. Lawson {sic}, trustee of Center township and aspirant for
renomination on the Democratic ticket, died quite suddenly Sunday night at the home
of Slyverter Logan in Plymouth, aged 71 years. Death was due to heart trouble which
he had been afflicted. In earlier life Mr. Lawson {sic} had conducted the Plamer House
at Culver and the Rosse House of Plymouth. A resident of the county all his life, he
was widely known and well likes.

Mrs F. Lamson Dies
Former Resident of Culver Succumbs to Pneumonia
The death of Mrs. Frnk Lamson of Plymouth last Thurssday night of pneumonia,
following an enfeebled condition of healt of consierable duration, is of interst to
many Culver people.
For a long period of years she had been identified with the academy colony, and
the town community through the proprietorship and personal management by
her husband of the Palmer House.
Following their removal to Plymouth, Mrs. Lamson sull retained as association with
the lake enviroment by summers spent here.
For a number of years, Mr. Lamson owned and conducted the Ross House in
Plymouth, where Mrs. Lamson was more or less in touch with Culver people.
Their son, Harley Lamson and grandson, Frederick Cole, were students at the
academy.
Mrs. Lamson was a woman of fine character whose sincerity, genuine kindliness
of heart, and personal charm endeared her to all who knew her.
To her many firends in this vicinity, the news of her death brings a sense of very Nov
