Wilth the Citezen having been honored in Indiana newpspaer circles it is timely to have with us today one of the persons who played an imposrtant part in the production of the paper worthy of these ratings

No editor can issue a first class newspaper by himself for the linotype operator, makeup man, caster of sterotypes, typographer, pressman, correspondents, proof reader, and so on, must all have their roles well for a well-balanced paper to come off the press.

Davis came to the Citizen over seven years ago and during that time has developed into a typograper and pressman of unusual skill and ability.

With him and the others mentioned above this editor shares the honors that have ome to the citizen

Dale was born in Fulton county in the Mt. Hope neighborhood, attended the grade school there and was graduated from the Leiters Ford High School.

After working in Indianapolis he attended South Bend Business College and was employed in a South Bend bank for a year and a half.

He came to Culver and after a short period became associated with the Citizen where this writer hopes he will remain untill he is to feeble to pick a comma out of the type case.

Dale is now superintendent of the Sunday school of Birr Oak Church of God.






Dale Davis, capable shop foreman is pictured here at the bank. A member of the staff for nearly eighteen years, he is acquainted with allall opahese of printing production. Under his personal supervision thousands of pieces of printed matter have been executed, some of which have achieved natioanl distinction.
