Dunn W. Weaver

Township Trustee Dunn W. Weaver was busy transacting township affairs when the cameraman waylaid him on the street.

Handling public business isn't a new expereience to Mr. Weaver, who took office the first of the year.

He became deputy township assessor in 1922, when he made the rounds in a horse and buggy with Trustee John E. Dennie.

He was elected township assessor in 1926 for four years and afain became a deputy assessor for four years under Trustee D. H. Smith.

Dunn was born in Nakomis, Ill. where he attended grade and high schools.

At the age of 18 years he went to Chicago to work for International Harvester and Marshall Fields, occupying a post in the bookkeeping department for the latter firm for several years.

The indoor work was too confining and he had to go to Culifornia for a year for his health, after which he moved to Plymouth for two years.

Mr. Weaver moved to Culver in 1914 and two years later bought the farm where he now lives.

He has two hobbies - rememebring birthdays and collecting Indian relics, having about 200 various pieces of the latter.
