Maxinkuckee Snipets From Peru

1892 -Jun 23 - Cottages for Sale
Lake Maxinkuckee has evidently had its day as a leading summer resort.

The rush for accommodations up there is not as great this season as in former years, and we hear of very few excursion trains headed for that point.

The people of Indianapolis who invested in Maxinuckee real estate are now anxious to unload their property. William Burford of that city, advertised his handsome new cottage for sale, while residents of Terre Haute and P lymouth are looking around for purchasers.

Rome City was once a favorite resort but for several years past has been deserted, having lost its attraction. Must Lake Maxinkuckee suffer the same fate?

The pleasure seekrs are journeying this year to Cedar Lake, large crowds from Peru and Rochester arranged to pass the heated term at that place -[Logansport Pharos] - Peru Miami County Sentinel
