Richard Edwards, Of Peru, was at the lake Sunday

Milton Shirk and wife, of Peru spent Sunday at their cottage.

Mrs. Dresser and daughter of Indianapolis opened their cottage on the east side of the lake for the season.

M. F. Harwood of Logansport was so journying [journeying] at the lake last Tuesday.

J. H. Brandon and family, of Indianapolis, arrived Tuesday and opened up the Judah cottage.

Mrs. Judge Heller of Laporte, has arrived at the lake for the season.

Capt Crook's launch "Doxie" was launched last Monday and put in commission. He is now prepared to accommodate all early cottagers or persons desiring to go to points around the lake.

David Swihart has bout competed the brick walk along the Kreutzbereger and Vandalia properties.

Bigley Bros. are opening a new store in the Wm. VanSchoisack building south of Maxinkuckee Landing.

A fire started on Long Point at the Myers cottage last Sunday. It burned the pier which was up en [in] the bank for the winter and destroyed a number of the shade trees. The loss is about 25 dollars.
