Capt Morris has his piers and minnow boxes in the lake for the season. He was between 90 and 100 row boats in fine condition to accommodate the public.

The work on Capt. Crook's new steamer is progressing rapidly. The h ull is completed. Mr. Peterson, of Bass Lake, is contractor having charge of the work. It will be the largest boat ever on old Lake Maxinkuckee, being over 70 feet long it will be a double decker. It will be christened the "Niswauggee".

Dr. Benepe, of California is here on business. He was a cottage on the east side of the lake.

Capt. Knapp's steamer the "Llyod McSheehy", is repainted and overha uled and has been doing service on the lake for the past week.

The steamer, Peerless, has now been moved from her winter quarters and is at the depot landing being overha uled and painted preparatory to the summer work

C. H. Brownell and wife of Peru, were at their cottage on east side last Friday.

W. T. Wilson and wife and A. J. Murdock and wife of Logansport spent Friday and Saturday at their cottage on the east side.

Harvy Bates and wife were called from the lake to Indianapolis Saturday, on account of old friend being dangerously ill.
