    His obituary in the 10-16-1974 Culver Citizen stated he was a life-long Culver resident. He was a building contractor in Culver and the neighboring Maxinkuckee communities. He was a member of the former Maxinkuckee Methodist Church.

    He was survived by one daughter, Mrs. Irvin (Irma) Overmyer of Naperville, IL; two step daughters, Mrs. Robert (Barbara) Forth of Piedmont, CA, and Mrs. Edward (Patricia) Cole of Paxton, MA; one stepson, Richard Van Schoiack of Millcreek, and 15 grandchildren.

    Roscoe B. STEVENS, 83, Culver , died unexpectedly at 4:25 p.m. Saturday at his residence. He had been ill two months.,

    A retired contractor, he was born Oct. 1, 1891, at Culver to Ray and Delia MALANEY STEVENS. His first marriage was to Elva SAVAGE in 1918. She preceded in death in 1942. His second marriage was to Josephine McFARLAND Van SCOIACK in 1947. She died in 1971. He was a member of the former Maxinkuckee Methodist church and was a building contractor in the Culver area. He had lived all his life in the Culver area.

    Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Irvin (Irma) OVERMYER, Neighborvill, Ill. [?]; two step-daughters, Mrs. Robert (Barbara) FORTH, Piedmont, Cal.; Mrs. Edward (Patricia) COLE, Paxton, Mass.; one step-son, Richard Van SCOIACK, Mill Creek; fifteen grandchildren; one son, Michael [STEVENS], and one daughter, Ardith [STEVENS], preceded in death.

    Final rites will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Grossman funeral home in Argos. The Rev. W. Ray KUHN will officiate. Burial will be in the Poplar Grove cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today. - Monday, October 14, 1974 Rochester Sentinel

She was born 21 MAY 1905 in Marshall County, IN, and died 25 JUN 1971 in Parkview Hospital, Plymouth, Marshall County, IN. She was buried 28 JUN 1971 in Poplar Grove Cemetery, Marshall County, IN. She was married 1st to Walter Van Shoaik.
    Her obituary in the 7-1-1971 Argos Reflector stated she had died in the Parkview Hospital after a three day illness following surgery. She was a member of the former Maxinkuckee Methodist Church, a member of the Maxinkuckee Rebeckah Lodge No. 844 and a past noble grand of the lodge. She had served as a district president of the Rebekah Assembly No. 23 in 1956. She was also a member of the Emily Jane Culver Order of Eastern Star No. 494. She was survived by her husband as well as a son and two daughters by a former marriage: Mrs. Edward (Patricia) Cole of Worchester, MA, Mrs. Robert (Barbara) Forth of Piedmont, CA, and Richard VanShoiack of Niles, MI, a stepdaughter, Mrs. Irven (Irma) Overmyer of Naperville, IL, and 14 grandchildren.

    John Michael STEVENS, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Roscoe and Josephine STEVENS of the Maxinkuckee neighborhood, died at 1:30 p.m. Monday in Parkview Hospital, Plymouth, about four hours after his birth. Survivors include the parents and other relatives. The body was removed to the Grossman Funeral Home, Argos, and graveside services were held at 2 p.m. today at the Poplar Grove cemetery. The Rev. W.
