1912 - Sep 12 - A Needed Street Filling Street Commissioner Vanmeter is doing a long-needed piece of work in filling up the north and shouth street through the marsh from the Ferrier Addition to Mill Street.

Eighty to 100 loads of sand are being put in every day.

The job is being done without drawing on the general fund - the street tax and donations of labor by individuals paying the expense.

The marsh will soon be a thing of the past. It is gradually being filled up and built upon
