Be it remembered that theTown Board of the town of Marmont met on the 3rd day of Septemeber 1894 at 7 o'clock P. M. Present Samuel E Medbourn,
Marcus F Mosher and John W. Souder. The Following bill was then read.
To The honorable town council of the town of Marmont
I hereby present you my bill for printing ordinances in Marmont Herald three weeks accoring to law. The ordinances contained 13 squares at $1.00 per square
first insertion, $13.00 . Subsequent insertions at .50 cents per square $13.00 total $26.00

Motion made by Marcus F. Mosher that the afore communication be laind on the table until the next meeting of the Board pending investigation which motion
was duly seconded and carried.
The president of the board then appointed Samuel E. Medbourn and Marcus F. Mosher as a committe to procure a suitable place for the erection of a calaboos and
receive bids for the building of said jail.
The president of the Board John W. Souder the appointed Marcus F. Mosher as committee on strreets and alleys and Samuel E. Medbourn as committee on finance
motion made by Marcus F. Mosher that a surveyor be procured for the purpose of estabilishing the grade of the streets which motion was duly seconded and
carried
On the Motion said Board adjourned

Be it remembered that the Town Board of the Town of Marmont met on the 17th day of Septemmber 1894 at 7 O'clock P. M.
Present John W. Souder, Samuel E Medbourn and Marcus F Mosher
Motion made by Marcus F. Mosher that the motion laid on the table at the previous meeting be taken from the table which
motion was duly seconded and carried. Motion made by Marcus F. Mosher thet the bill of $26.00 presented by Geo. Nearpass Ed.
of the Marmont Herald for the publishing of ordinances be accepted and an order drawn for that amount, which montion was duly
seconded and carried.
And be it further remembered that said Board selected and appointed B. W. S. Wiseman as secretary of the Board of Health for
said Town to have and to hold such office until his successor is duly elected and qualified.
On motion said Baord adjourned

Be it remembered that the Town Board of the Town of Marmont met on the 7th day of October 1894 at 7 O'clock P. M.
Present John W. Souder, Samuel E Medbourn and Marcus F Mosher
Marcus F. Mosher made Moition that the clerk notify John C. Butler of Plymouth that his terms for surveying and establishing the
grade of the streets to be accepted .
His terms being as follows
said Butler to receive the sum of $3.00 per day for his services he to furnish one helper, said helper to receive the sum of
$1.75 per day
said motion was duly seconded and carried and the president ordered the clerk to notify said Butler in accorance with said
motion.

Be it remembered that the Town Board of the Town of Marmont met on the 7th day of October 1894 at 7 O'clock P. M.
Present John W. Souder, Marcus F Mosher and Samuel E Medbourn
That whereas B. W. S. Wisem and who was appointed secretary of the Board of Health on Sept 17th 1894 failed to qualify.
One Thomas Medbourn a resident of said town was duly appointed by said board as Secretary of the Board of Health for said town to
serve until his successor is elected and qualified. The salary of said Medbourn to be $12.00 per annium.
Marmont, Indiana October 15th 1894
This is to certify that Thomas Medbourn was on the 15th day of October 1894 was duly
appointed secretary of the Board of Health of the Town of Marmont, Ordinance by the Board of Trustees of said town to have
and to hold said office until his successor is appointed and qualified. John W. Souder, President

Be it remembered that the Town Board of the Town of Marmont met on the 3rd day of December 1894 at 7 O'clock P. M.
Present John W. Souder, Samuel E Medbourn and Marcus F Mosher
Motion made by Samuel E. Medbourn that the first quarter salaries of all the the town officers be paid
which motion was duly seconded and carried and the clerk was instructed to draws orders for the amount
due the different officers. The following bills were the presented and ordered paid.
Town of Marmont by C. P. Drummond Dr. to D. McDonald & Co. of Plymouth for 250 Marmont Election
tickets $1.50. Motion made by Marcus F. Mosher that the bill be paid which motion was duly seconded
and carried

Town of Marmont Dr. to John Osborn for 1000 order blanks four dollars and twenty five cents ($4.25).
Motion made that the bill be allowed which motion was carried and the clerk was ordered to draw an order
for that amount
