	Culver City, Indiana, 1/6, 1896 Be it remembered that the Town Board of the Town of Culver City, (formerly Marmont) Indiana met in regular session at T. B. Harris' office at 7 O'clock P.M. on the 6th day of Jaunary 1896. And there were present at said meeting Trustees T. B. Harris, J. H. Castleman, and E. W. Geiselman. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Be it further remembered that the following bill was presented and
	ordered paid. Culver City, Indiana Jan 6, 1896 Town of Culver City to Dillion & Castleman Dr for 1 Rod tile, thirty five cents. .35 We the undersigned herby certify that the foregoing bill is just, true and unpaid. Be it also remembered that a motion was made by Trustee Castleman which motion was also duly seconded by trustee Geisleman that the clerk be authorized and instructed to issue orders to the School Board for second quarter Salaries and also to the Secretary of Board of Health for fourth quarter slary now due. The yeas & Nays were taken upon said motion and Trustees E. W. Geisleman, J. H. Castleman, & T.B. Harris, voted in the affirmative, and the president T. B. Harris, declared said motion carried. Be it remember thtat on motion which was duly seconded and carried The order giving Marshall the preference in constructing street cross walks at $3.00 per walk and alley cross walks at $1,50 per walk, be and is here by rescinded. And be it further remembered that a motion was made by Trustee Castleman which motion was duly seconded by Trustee Geisleman, That Thomas Medbourn be appointed Secretary of the Board of Health.
	To have and hold said office for one year or until his succesor is duly appoinited and qualified. The yeas and Hays were taken upon said motion and Trustees, J. H. Castleman, E. W. Geislman voted in the and T. B. Harris Voted in the affirmative, and the president T. B. Harris, declared said motion carried. On motion Said Board adjourned Chas Zechiel, Clerk T. B. Harris' office, at 7 o'clock P.M. And there were presnt at said meeting Trustees, T. B. Harris, J. H. Castleman and E. W. Geiselman. The minutes of the previvous meeting were read and approved. Be it further remembered that a motion was made by Trustee Castleman, That the clekr notify the Marshal, in writing to put in the sewer across lake street, and slso fix the wash out on Cass Street. Said motion was duly seconded by Trustee Geiselman; The yeas and nays were taken upon said motion, and upon roll call, Trustees, T. B. Harris, J. H. Castleman and E. W. 	Culver City, Indiana, Feb 17, 1896 Be it remembered that the Town Board of the Town of Culver City, Indiana, met in a regular session at T. B. Harris' office, at 7 o'clock P.M. on the 17th day of February, 1896. and there were present at said meeting, Trustees T. B. Harris, E. W. Geisleman and J. H. Castleman. The minuted of the previous meeting were read and approved. And be it further remembered, that Thomas Medbourn presented his certificate of appointment as Secretary of the Board of Health of the Town of Culver City, and his oath of office thereunto attached, and on motion which was duly seconded and carried said certificate and oath of office were ordered made a part of the reord, and are in the words and figures following, towit: Certificate of Appointment Culver City, Indiana, Jan 21, 1896 This is to certify that Thomas Medbourn, a resident of the town of Culver City, was on the 20th day of January, 1896, dulty appointed secretary of the Board of Health, of the Town of Culver City, Indiana, by the Board of Trustees of said Town, to have and to hold said office for one year, or until his successor is duly appointed and qualified. Harris office on the 2nd day of April 1896, in response to the following notice: Notice of Special Meeting T. J. H. Castleman and E. E. Geiselman: You are hereby notified that there will be a special meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Town of Culver City, Indiana for the purpose of passing an ordinance providing for the
	muzzing of Dogs and to prevent Hydophobia. Attest: (signed) Chas Zechiel, Clerk T. B. Harris Pres of Board We hereby accept service of the above notice on us this 2nd day of April, 1896 (signed) J. H Castleman E.W. Geiselman And be it further remembered that were present at said meeting, Trustees T. B. Harris, J. H. Castleman, E. W Geislman And be it further remembered that Trustte James H. Castleman presented the following Ordinace, being Ordinance No. ten (10) An ordinance providing for the muzzling of Dogs and to prenent Hydophobia. Whereas, there is inament danger of Hydrophobia being spread and commuinicated by dogs within the Town of Culver City, (formerly Marmont) Indiana Article I Therefore be it ordained by the Board of Trustees of said Town that it shall be unlawful for any person or persons to permit or suffer any dog owned , controlled or harbored by such person or persons to enter or be upon any of the streets, alleys or commons of said Town unless such dog shall be securely muzzled, and any person or persons owning, controlling or suffering any dong to be upon the streets, alleys or commons of said Town unmuzzeled shall be fined not to exceed $25,00 nor less than $5.00 Article II And be it further ordained that any dog found upon the streets, alleys or commons of said Town unmuzzed shall be shot by the Marshall of said Town nprovided that, Notice in writing be first given to the person or persons owning or harboring such dag, by such Marshal of his intention so to do Where as an emergency exists for the immediate passsage of this ordinance,
	it shall therefore, take effect from and after its passge. Passed this 2nd day of April, 1896 attest: (signed) Chas Zechiel, Clerk T.B. Harris Pres of Board And it was moved by Trustee J. H. Castleman, which motion was also duly seconded by Trustee E. W. Geisleman that said ordiance be placed upon its final passage at its first reading. The yeas and nays were taken upon said motion and upon roll call Thrustees J. H. Casltlelman, E. W. Geislman and T B Harris voted in the affirmative and th president T. B. Harris declared said motion carried It was then moved by Trustee Castleman which motion was also duly seconded by Trustee Geislamn that said ordiance by passed and adopted as read. The yeas and nays were taken upon said motion and upon roll call, Trustees E. W. Geisleman, J. H. Castleman and T. B. Harris voted in the affirmative and the president, T. B. 	motion carried On motion which was duly seconded and carried It was ordered to advertise the constuction of a sidewalk along the South end of lot owned by Mrs Jane Brunk, in the Culver City Herald for two consecutive publications Be it also futher rememberd that on motion which was duly seconded and carried it was ordered to serve a notice on Nussbaum & Mayer for the construction of a side walk along the south end of the lot owned by the said Nussbaum & Mayer in out lot No 5 Culver City, (formerly Marmont) Indiana Be it further remembered that a motion was made which moion was also duly seconded that a Notice of Election, to be held at the School House May 4, 1896, for the purpose of electing one trustee in 1st ward, one trustee 3rd ward, one Treasurer, one Marshal, one clerk, be published in the Culver City Hearal for 3 consecutive issues. The yeas and nays were taken upon said motion, and upon roll call, Trustees Castleman, Geisleman and Harris voted in the affirmative, and the president T. B. Harris declared said motion carried. 	Culver city, 4/20, 1896 Be it remembered that the Town Board of the town of Culver City (Formerly Marmont) Indiana, met in reqular session at T. B. Harris office on the 20th day of April 1896 at 7 o'clock P.M.; and there were present at said meeting of the Board Trustees J. H. Castleman, T. B. Harris and E. W. Geiselman. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Be it further remembered that, since H. H. Koontz, who had been previously appointed as Inspector of Election, was nominated as candidate for Town Marshal, and hereby causing a vacancy in the office of Inspector, It was moved by Trustee Castleman which motion was duly seconded by trustee Geisleman that Marcus F. Mosher be appointed as Inspector of Election to be held May 4, 1896. The yeas and nays were taked upon said motion and upon roll call Trustees T. B. Harris, J. H. Castleman and E. W. Be it also further remembered that the following pertition was presented and read. To the Honorable Town Board of Culver City: We the undersigned citizens of said town do humbly pray your Honorable body to order the building of a certain side walk as hereinafter described: Commencing at a cetain viz: At the North West corner of Lot No. 7 in the Vandalia Addition to the Town of Marmont now Culver City thence South on the East side of Lake View street until it intersects Scott Street. Affecting lots owned by Margaret Swigart, John Souder, John Horgeshimer, Jacob Casey and Antone Meyer. Date at Culver City this 16th day of April 1896 (signed) John W. Young presented and filed his certificate of Election with oath __ office there unto attached, and being duly sworn upon his oath presented and filled his bond which upon motion was duly accepted and approved by the Board of trustees. And be in also further remembered tbat William Overman presented and amd filled his cretifiicate of Election with oath of office therunto attached and being duly sworn upon his oath presented and filed his bond, which upon motion was duly accepted and approved by the board of Trustees. And be it further remembered that the certificates of election of James H. Castleman and D. G. 	Culver City Ind. May 18 1896 Be it remembered that the Town Board of the town of Culver City (formerly Marmont) met on the 18: day of May 1896 at 7 oclock P.M. Present James H.Castleman E. W. Geiselman and D. G. Walter trustees of said town Board was organized by electing James H. Castleman President to serve untill his successor is duly elected and qualified Minutes of previous meetings were read and approved Motion made to take the motion from the tahle of previous meeting which motion was duly secoded and carried. 	ANd be it further remembered that Trustee D. G. Walter presented and read the following ordinance fixing the levy fot taxes of said town for the year 1897. An ordinance fixinth the tax levy of the town of Culver City (formerly Marmont) for the year 1897 which ordinance is No. 11 Be it ordained by the Board of Trustees of the town of Culver city Indiana that the following levy of taxes be and is hereby made for the year 1897 for said Town to wit For corporation puposes on each $100 valuation of the taxable property in said town (40) forty cents, and on each poll for corporation puposes twenty five cents (.45) and for Tuition purposes on each $100 valuation of the taxable property - - saind town twenty five cents ((25) and on each poll for tuition purposes twenty five cents (25). On each $100 valuation of the taxable property with said Town for road purposes twnety five cents (25) Whereas an emergency exists for the immediate taking effect of this ordinance it shall take effect from and after its. passage. Jmes H. Castleman E. W. Geiselman D, G, Walter, Trustees Attest F. L. Carl, Clerk And said Walter moved that the same be placed upon its final passge which motion was duly seconded by trustee E. W. Geiselmand. And the yeas and nays were taken upon said motion and upon roll call trustees Walter and Geiselman voted in the affirmative and the president James H. Castleman declared said motion carred. It was then moved by said Trustee Walter that said ordinance be passed and adopted as read.

Drummond be employed as attorner for the town for one year and that he shall receive the sum of thrity five dollars (35.00) and expenses for such services . And motion being duly seconded by Trustee Geiselman the ayes and nays were taken upon said motion and upon roll call Trustees Walter and Geiselman voted in the affrimative and the president of said board James H.
