Be it remembered that the Town Board of the Town of Culver City, (formerly Marmont) Indiana met in
regular session at T. B. Harris' office at 7 O'clock P.M. on the 6th day of Jaunary 1896. And there were
present at said meeting Trustees T. B. Harris, J. H. Castleman, and E. W. Geiselman.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.

T. B. Harris' office, at 7 o'clock P.M. on the 17th day of February, 1896. and there were present at said

And be it further remembered, that Thomas Medbourn presented his certificate of appointment as Secretary
of the Board of Health of the Town of Culver City, and his oath of office thereunto attached, and on motion
which was duly seconded and carried said certificate and oath of office were ordered made a part of the reord,

Ordinance No. ten (10)
An ordinance providing for the muzzling of Dogs and to prenent Hydophobia.
Whereas, there is inament danger of Hydrophobia being spread and commuinicated by dogs within the Town
of Culver City, (formerly Marmont) Indiana
Article I Therefore be it ordained by the Board of Trustees of said Town that it shall be unlawful for any person
or persons to permit or suffer any dog owned , controlled or harbored by such person or persons to enter or be
upon any of the streets, alleys or commons of said Town unless such dog shall be securely muzzled, and any
person or persons owning, controlling or suffering any dong to be upon the streets, alleys or commons of said
Town unmuzzeled shall be fined not to exceed $25,00 nor less than $5.00
Article II And be it further ordained that any dog found upon the streets, alleys or commons of said Town unmuzzed
shall be shot by the Marshall of said Town nprovided that, Notice in writing be first given to the person or persons
owning or harboring such dag, by such Marshal of his intention so to do
Where as an emergency exists for the immediate passsage of this ordinance,

it shall therefore, take effect from and after its passge.

to be held at the School House May 4, 1896, for the purpose of electing one trustee in 1st ward, one trustee
3rd ward, one Treasurer, one Marshal, one clerk, be published in the Culver City Hearal for 3 consecutive issues.

that Marcus F. Mosher be appointed as Inspector of Election to be held May 4, 1896. The yeas and nays

ANd be it further remembered that Trustee D. G. Walter presented and read the
following ordinance fixing the levy fot taxes of said town for the year 1897. An ordinance
fixinth the tax levy of the town of Culver City (formerly Marmont) for the year 1897 which
ordinance is No. 11
Be it ordained by the Board of Trustees of the town of Culver city Indiana that the
following levy of taxes be and is hereby made for the year 1897 for said Town to wit
For corporation puposes on each $100 valuation of the taxable property in said town (40)
forty cents, and on each poll for corporation puposes twenty five cents (.45) and for
Tuition purposes on each $100 valuation of the taxable property - - saind town twenty five
cents ((25) and on each poll for tuition purposes twenty five cents (25). On each $100
valuation of the taxable property with said Town for road purposes twnety five cents (25)
Whereas an emergency exists for the immediate taking effect of this ordinance it shall
take effect from and after its. passage.
