Although the Culver town election board Wednesday disqualified the entire Repulican
slate for Culver;s Novemeber municipal election as a result of t protest by Robert K. Kyle,
Culver Republican, who opposed the G.O.P, slate, the case being appealed to the state

to state law town precinct committeemen must meet prior to July 25 to select the town
committee, which i turn calls for party convention
The town precinct committed men did not meet prior to July 25 cacus called las Friday , was not
chosen legally and that the caucus was thus illegal...
The disputed G.O.P. canidates elected by a record turn out of 74 republicans las Friday and their winning
margins were.... Town clerk-treasurer James C. Dewitt (42) over Harry D. Winkler (30)
The Democratic candid iates are...Mrs. RUth Overmyer is the clerk-treasurer candiate...
Should an appeal not be made, or should the state board agree that the G. O. P. sltate was chosen
illegally, then the four Democrat candidates would run unopposed in the fall election.
