Mr. Rockhill saw the light of day at Mentione, Ind., and came to Marshall county wher he was 14 years old. He attended Plymouth high school and Valparaiso University.

For nine years he was employed in the local post office and was assistant postmaster when he severed his connection with Uncle Sam in 1922

Another nine-year span was spent in the accounting deparrtment of the Academy, after which Mr. Rockhill entered the life

He took over the license bureau tow years ago.

Lester establised a local record of some kinf when he held the office of town cleark for eleven years.

He is quite active in the affairs of the Democrat party.

He is president of the Union Township Parent-Teacher Association for the coming school year - Aug. 24 1938 - Citizen

William Rockhill, Narive of Culver, Dies At Age 35

Willliam. O. Rockhill, age 36, died Wednesday morning, Oct 2 in St. Johns Hospital, Santa Monica, Calif. following an illness of six months.

Mr. Rockhill was born in CUlver on Jan 27, 1928 and moved with his mother to St. Petersburg, Fla., when he was 12 years old.

He resided in Pacific Palisades, Calif., fir the past 8 years.

Surviving are his wife and two daughters NArda and heather at home; his mother Mrs. Pearl Rockhill of Arcadia, Calif; his father Lester ROckhill of Oakland, Calif. and a brother Donovan, Bakersfield, Calif.

William O Osborn of Culver uncle of Mr. Rockhill attended the funeral services which were held Firday in Pacific Palisades.
