Jail House "Calaboose"



1906 - the Jail - was located on Lake View at 305 - Lot 11 - Jail by the Sanborn map
    1906 - Jun 7 - The New Jail - The town board has closed a conract with Charles Hayes for a ten year's lease on a lot on which to erect a calaboose. The building will be commenced this week under the day labor plan. It will be constructed of cement with glavanized iron roof. The steel cage is already here.


By this notice found Jail House "calaboose:" had abandoned that location by Oct 12, 1904=5

    Notice is hereby given that the undersigned, president of the Board of Trustees, of the Town of CwJver City-, Indiana, will sell at private sale at the Exchange Bank in Culver City, on

    Tuesday, October 17, 1915,

    at one one o'clock p.m.. the fallowing described rea1 estate, to-wit:
      Lot number eleven (11) in Knapp's addition to Marmont, now Culver City, in Marshall County, Indiana.


    Terms of Sale One-half cash at time of sale, and balance inone defertred payment, to be secured hy purchaser's, note bearing six per cent, per annum interest and mortgage on the lot sold; or all cah wilF be aoeeptd

    A certificate-of purchase; will be issued at the time of. sale, the sale will be reported to the Board of Trustees and, if approved, a deed will be executed by the board.
