The people outing at Lake.Maxin- kuckee have been looking forward to this date with vivid anticipation.

Today the Annual Regatta, a race for the pennant, will take place.

The entrees are: Class A. Sloops —

    Crescent, Frank Bird, Sailing Master;
    Niooll, Captain, Ed Culver, St. Louis;
      Ben Hur, Captain, .Ed Pierce ,
      Indiana. Otto Stechan;
      Fleetwing, Bertie Adams;
      Water Witch, Ed. Dark;
      Echo, Willis Vajen.


    Class B, Cat Boats —
      Stella, Hal Adams;
      Ariel, John Wallic;
      Mermaid, Chas. Green, Terre Haute;
      Englenook. Robert 0ag-gett;
      Levite, H. B. Scott, Detroit,
      Nattie, E. B. Wheeler, Plymouth;
      Scipio Africanus, F. Cleaver, Tecre Haute;
      Wapena, M. Shirk, Peru;
      Mud Turtle, M. H. Spades;

    A number of hardy old tars will take part In Class C, single scull race,
      John W. Ray,
      John B. Elam,
      Colonel Frederick Bagga,
      General George McGinnis and
      John F. Wallick.


    Class D, Canoe race —

      W. C. Newcomb,
      Gus Bruner,
      Ed. Shirk, of Peru,


    Marion Ward, Wheeler of Plymouth, won the pennant on the "Arletto" last year when there were thirteen entries.
