Convervation enthudiasts of Maxinkuckee and surrounding communities have organized into the East Side Conservation Club as a result of a meeting held Tuesday, Feb. 7, in the Odd Fellows Hall attended by 46 persons

Earl Dean Overmyer was elected president; Lester Mahler, vice president; Glenn Boreis, secretary; Ray Overmyer, treasurer; and Morris curtis, Francis Gibson, and John Bigley, directors

Otto Grossman of Argos, state director, attended the meeting and helped in the organization - Ciitizen Feb 15, 1939
